OK - going to Donny this weekend and will be in a field full of tents. Can anyone suggest a way of making it recognisable for me & hubby to spot from afar? We were going to put in it one of those remote doorbells that also flashes a light when you press the button - but that’ll only work at night when it’s really dark.
Going tomorrow so any suggetions today would be grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!
Get current position when at your tent - save as a favorate - then bring it with you and ask it for directions - they say it brings you within ten feet!!!
A flag of your own is best bet but quite often you’ll find enough people with you with flags that you can use… i.e. we’re between the skull and crossed bones and a st georges cross with the number 46 write large upon it…
Alternatively take a can of spray paint and paint an arrow in the nearest pathway in the direction of your tent… never seen this done but if you can get away with it it should work…
Don’t have tom tom. We’ve decided to have a gazebo so might stick something on the top of it to make ot stand out more I suppose. And suggestions for best place to view if we don’t have grandstand tickets…?
hand held gps is the only way without walking in on a couple of fumbling teenagers. small enough for the pocket and has its own back light. just don’t foprget to set it before you leave the tent prior to drinking!!!
