come on, it’s happened to most of us at sometime or another
i want to hear your stories of stuff like this
one day i was doing some maintainance on my old xj600 and had the calipers off amongst other things and when it was all back together i took it for a shakedown run. about a mile and a half down the road my righthand caliper fell off and i lost all pressure to me front brakes and ended up riding back home very gingerly with only the rear working, thinking to myself you silly fool. i had only done up the caliper bolts thumb tight and had forgot to do em up properly… doh!!!
LOL i dont know how u forgot to do up ur caliper bolts but i suppose people make mistakes
erm…
Cant think if i’ve made a mistake the terrifying
But i did crash stupidly on my push bike it was by hangelane round about everyone was riding quite fast i was manualin on the back wheel toward a curb mis judge the lil bunnyhop up the curb i hopped the rear wheel up to late whick hit the curb first which gave me loads of momentum when i did hop the wheel off the ground which flew me straight over the hande bars rolling down the hill (towards mc’ds) bike went further i was ok rode to ace then came home then to the hospital as i couldnt do much with my wrist and it was broke.
Yeah it was. lol
The over stupid thing i done with my RS was i put the bikeon the stand on grass i thought it was quite solid rock the bike a bit yeah it’ll be ok walk away bang, but luckily the R&G’s saved it from any damage.
i once had my chainguard resprayed in blue, i thought i was the coolest thing, and although i thought i had tightened it up correctly after a 70mph blast down the link road my guard decided to come off and nearly throw me off the bike as it got caught in my rear wheel!!! oops!
I once adjusted the chain on my Katana, then took it out for a spin wearing only t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops. Coming down the newly tarred road that I lived it, I accelerated hard and setup for a blind corner that required a dab on the brakes before tipping in. As I touched the back brake I felt the rear step out to the left and the bike wouldn’t steer!? I went straight on, onto the opposite grass verge, narrowly missing a lamp post. Turned out I forgot to tighten the axle nut, and the rear wheel pulled sideways by the rear brake. Needless to say, I always double check everything now.
When i was younger i removed the chain from BMX to paint the frame, i forgot to put it back on and it took me three days to work out while i peddled like fook i didnt go anywhere
i was late for work yesterday morning and hurried out the door jumped on my bike started it when to pull off chain was still on and it fell onto the side of my leg
