hi all, was chatting to aiden at BM last night and he recommended these heated pads that fit between your grips and the bars. anyone had any experience with them? are they easy to fit?
as for if they are good, not tried them but not sure how much better than heated grips they will be.
also isnt the heated elemet in the heated grips within the grip not underneath it? if so isnt there ‘less’ grip for the heat to travel through to get to you? if that makes sense?
I’ve got these on my KTM. And you wouldn’t know unless I pointed them out, which is the appeal. They get so hot that I have to let go to breathe the heat off - no lie.
Easy to fit. Take off the grips, superglue on the pads, wrap them on the exposed bar, slip the grips back on, and plumb into the wiring.
Ahh! the greek temprament. think we posted at the same time my orange friend.
anyway after much nail chewing and wailing I dont think heated grips are the way to go.
Modern inner heated gloves give you full fingered heat and mean you dont have to upgrade from gortex autumn gloves. Plus no messy greify leccy installs.
Saying that my spada enforcers have broken in very nicely.

Nope wasn’t me, nobody there as a witness heard me recommend anything and you cant prove it!!! LOL
So did ye get them, true as someone else said, they get so hot on the high button you nearly have to take your hands off the bars :w00t:
If you dont want to drill your fairings/panels to mount the switch then add a small strip of flat metal under a bolt somewhere and put the switch on that. Or go to a motor factors/Halfords and buy a switch that mounts onto a round handlebar etc etc. It’s only an off/position1/position2 switch u need, cudnt be simpler
At £2.99 compared to the £41 asked for by symtec I think they might be worth a go. The switch looks a bit naff for a road bike, but I’m sure you could pick up a better one pretty cheap.
DEspite just buying a second set of R&G heated grips as I messed up the throttle grip whilst putting it on, I’d be well interested for these. Can’t wait to see outcome
