swap: suzuki drz400sm supermoto for supersports

As the title says here’s my bullet proof drz up for a swap or part ex for a supersports. Ideally suzuki gsxr 600 k4 k6 (not an r6 possibly ninja 636r)

I’m in no rush so please no silly offers. My drz is my pride and joy. I’ve always maintained her to a high standard and spent over £1000 on buying bits and bobs such as custom mrd ssw exhaust system which was from America (now has yoshi rs3 slip on to reduce noise, your ears will thank me). DynoJet jet kit, decals, Powdercoated parts, zeta bling and handguards, hel lines, aftermarket headlight and fender, case savers, skid plate, talon gold sprocket with did heavy duty chain, sliders… The list can go for ever! See pictures.

Taxed and MOTed of course!

This bike has been mainly used for my commuting and to be fair a perfect bike for London. I’ll miss it! Especially trying to commute on a supersports however I fancy a change and would like to travel abroad.

Please no silly offers I am in no rush.

If you have any questions just ask

Errm how about posting the important bits like year, mileage, service history?
Good luck with the swap/sale however think you have valued it to high!

What would you sell it for if it was a cash transaction?

(Not because I want to buy) but so we know the value…

You could swap that for a nice SV650, A much better bike for commuting.

Apologies, however I did mention if people where interested to message me for more information. It is a 55 plate with 11k on the clock. It has service history however not full. When I bought it from metropolis I was told previous owner didn’t ride it much and it was stored for a year or so. However since I owned it in a year I have racked up nearly 3000 miles on it, no problems. I’ve serviced the bike at my local garage (essential rubber). I’ve also done an oil change approx 600 miles ago.

As I said I am willing to part ex e.g. pay money on top for a gsxr k4. But if it’s too much of an issue I may consider selling it for cash.

:hehe: I dislike SV’s… quite a bit haha :w00t:

SV650 and £50.00 final offer.

I’ll Pass, sorry buddy!

How much cash ya looking for it?

Pm’d

Why dont you post cash price up?

Because personally I feel that it would put people off. I know how much it is worth. But looking online there having a hard time selling. If I stuck it up for sale a few months back I would of got my asking price.

Right. Im looking for 3000 with current exhaust on there (exhaust system is worth 400 plus). Reason why I would like a k4 gsxr is because I’ve seen them go from around 2.7k to 3.2k.

If anyone would like to discuss just get in touch.

As I said good luck with the sale/swap - however I also said I think you overpriced it and when I used to sell bikes we were selling these new @ £3999 - this is now 7 1/2 years old with over 10k miles… and extras don’t add value so I don’t think it is worth 3k and that’s the reason other DRZ’s are not selling if they are priced around the same area.
I’m looking at supermotos at the moment but not buying due to people’s prices, I’m not going to pay 1k less then we used to sell them new for after 5/6/7 years!

Watch out chaps. Mate was after one of these, just got one earlier this week, 2012 model, but with stock can, not sure of other details (paid £3K I believe). But he had it one day, then some thieving #### pinched it this afternoon from Romford Brewery car park. Totally gutted. Insured, but he’s well down due to excesses. :frowning: These are obviously sought after, get some decent security on them!

They stopped production in the uk in 2008. I’ve seen similar bikes with similar prices priced the same.

Lets make it easier. What price are you willing to pay?

Couldn’t agree more. Very likeable bikes for thieves.

I used to reply to ads like this with a considered and researched valuation of the bike but I don’t bother now because there are three things people take a real exception to…

Criticising their ridingCriticising their partnerGiving an honest valuation to their bike.
So I’ll leave you to work it out. Try some price guides first Wisebuyers http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/motorcycles/bike-prices/ and Priceanybike http://priceanybike.com/ (which reflects real SOLD prices rather than the fantasy prices people advertise them for ).

Also Ebay COMPLETED listings (ie again what they actually SOLD for ) is a must.

I warn you you won’t like what you see, but you are either serious about selling your bike or not - if you’d rather burn it than sell it for that price then I’d burn it if I was you - no sense in spending loads on advertising it at a fantasy price and getting no calls at all.

Forget what you paid for it at Metropolis - they will only give you £1500 in trade in now.

Forget what you paid in extras - they realise only 10-20% of their worth on a bike - you may get 50-60% back if you strip and sell separately.

Like most bikes we ride , secondhand they are a commodity with at least 50 - 80 of your model on the market at one time - nobody likes to hear this about their pride and joy I know.

Good luck
