Hi all,
I’ve just had my crash protectors delivered, and the fitting instructions say to tighten to the manufacturers reccomended setting. I don’t have a Haines manual and I’d like to get these fitted tonight, so I don’t suppose anyone would know what the correct setting is?
Any help would be great

Not to hand but call a suzuki dealer asap before they close.
do it up tight, then twat it with a rubber mallet a couple of times
Didn’t get chance to call a dealer, should’ve thought about that earlier!
Think I’ll leave it, tempting as the rubber mallet sounds! Can’t find any K6 specific info online either

If the bolt is going into steel, yes … but, if it’s bolting into aluminium, just a good hand tight bolt is probably best. Having said that, it’s always difficult to make a recommendation like this as one person’s " hand tight " may be different to another’s. After working on bikes for a few years, you just get a feel for these things.
