Suzuki V-Strom DL650

Looks like after nearly seven years the V-Strom is finally being updated:

From the website it looks like it will be revealled tomorromw. It will be interesting to see what changes and improvements they are making to there middle weight trailie.

Given the competition in the class Transalp, Tiger 800, G650GS, F650GS, F800GS, Versys, XT660R etc I think that it will have to be something good.

Add the Gladius’s tuned engine with the DRZ400sm’s upside down forks!

Unfortunately I’ve never ridden a Vstrom, but I understand that they are under rated.
Looking forward to see the updates!

I test rode one for a couple hours the other year. Wasn’t as comfortable as the TDM, but the fairing was far more effective.

According to MCN, Suzuki leaked a lot of info by mistake.

Also like I wanted they added they Gladius engine! YAY!

Its not very good looking hmmmmm…

Stroms have never been known for their looks. Best known for their epic capability and fuel efficiency.

And being the best UJM available and quite possibly the best bike you never considered buying. Waiting for the final reviews, but it seems that the have reduced the fuel capacity by 2L. I’ve never heard of anyone complaining of an increase in capacity.

The new Transalp had a reduction in capacity because it wasn’t needed due to the increase in fuel efficiency. Utter bullshit.

Suzuki have offered us to review the new one.

We took the outgoing model to Italy and back the other week and LOVED it. It’d be interesting to compare against the new version.

I had one for test riding a couple of years ago. It just missed out after being pipped at the post by the TDM for comfort factor.

It’ll be interesting if have a go to compare to the TDM900.

Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
