This time, I have bought a Belgian motorcycle so as such, this will be my last sale of a UK motorcycle.
I haven’t really used this bike much… I bought it maybe 6 weeks ago and then stopped using it after getting scared I’d be pulled over in one of the many checkpoints we have here. I’m legal, the bike is legal but in Belgium, since I live here, the bike should be registered in Belgium. So alas, I have to sell instead and buy an overpriced Belgian bike instead.
Ebay price is for collection from Belgium, delivery to places in and around London, I am asking for £2k. For that price, I’ll stick on another 6 months tax (it currently has 2 months on it)
I could register it if I could speak sufficient levels of French. Even the BELGIANS don’t like the thought of importing a vehicle here, it’s that laborious. So that’s why I was hoping for a German buyer.
And to import it would be 200 Euro + change my headlights + technical inspection + CoC certificate from Suzuki (£50 or so) and all the paperwork & feckin stress that goes with it.
It’s hard enough to get insurance for a belgian bike here let alone a bloody imported vehicle! They honestly don’t do ANYTHING by the internet.
I’ll likely be booking a eurotunnel ticket over to UK on Tuesday 11th March, if no buyer in London then off it goes up to Scotland.
