Supermoto track Day at Lydd Sunday 27th Jan

There is a supermoto track day on a ‘proper’:w00t: supermoto track at lydd; kent on Sunday 27th January 10am till dusk; £60 per rider

Its a proper supermoto track; tight and twisty with a great dirt section ( still grippy though)

www.heronspark.com ; more info from Phil at the track if you need more info

Bikes need to have sliders etc; riders need to have full leathers etc

3 groups; novice / inters / experts

see you there?

sounds like fun:) i’ll be up for that

dirt section sounds a bit scary tho:blink: plus sneakys riot might get dirty

I did the CCM SM day down there. Nice track, but thankfully there was no dirt bit back then. The suspension dont work on The Riot on the road, so I know it wont work off it.

I really struggled at Wildtracks for this reason. Everytime I hit the dirt, I hit the dirt , if you see what I mean! I struggle for fitness at these lil’tracks too. At Lydd I could barely open my fingers to reach for the brake-n-clutch levers 2 corners from the finish line.

If we can club together for a van and I can get my Big-Girls-Blouse ironed in time, I’ll have a think about it. Brands Indy circuit is more my bag. 45mins away and a lot less demanding on my old body!:pinch:

Crikey, I didnt think of that!

The dirt section at Lydd is very grippy; in fact strangely enough more grippy than than the black stuff on a damp day!! Its much easier than Wiltracks which is basically like riding on marbles / in the snow:hehe:Here is the track: sure is nice and twisty. - I was at Brands on my 540 on the 17th Nov and IMHO its more than twice as much fun!!

And here is an old picture of me on my old bike - proving an LC4 can fly:P

will be bookin to go on this one:) do you think my 660 will fly if i run it on red bull:D

Now THAT looks like a great track!!!

Actually watched the last race of the season there last year and looked fantastic…

Would love to come along, but will have to catch you guys for the next…post-op recovery means I can’t ride anything until end of Jan…

:crazy::crying::crazy:

is she goin on holiday

its cool m8, i was on my 660 5 day after my op on my leg:laugh: but sayin that i did lose some stiches:pinch:

It’ll run just fine mate

look forward to meeting you and anyone else that turns up from here

we always park up on the grass near the table top

check my webshite for pics - www.humbyracing.com come over and introduce yourself and we’ll make sure you have a good day!!

Beer, you’re spot on about the dirt vs tar if it’s cold or damp.

Great track, if I still had a moto in the garage I’d be there.

just to update anyone thinking of coming the dirt section will not be used this weekend because of all the rain of late and the fact the track are doing a bit of concreting on the exit which may not be finished on time.

so it’s still on but without the dirt section and because of this the entry fee in now £50

cheers

It’s on again this saturday ( trackday ) sunday ( Racing ) if anyone wants to enter or come and watch

cheers
