supermoto conversion

Hi,

looking to convert a 06 exc 450 into supermoto trim, but not sure what exactly to do and what i need (i know i need s/m wheels!)

i found some 03 lc4 s/m wheels, would they fit?

Cheers!

Plenty for sell at; http://www.ktmforum.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=87

Best are Excel rims with Talon hubs, be prepare to spend from £250 to £500

You can also find ready Supermoto package; http://www.ktmforum.co.uk/bikes-bits-sale/57731-supermoto-package.html

like he said

Yeah, need a proper front brake - 310/320mm disk, 4 or 6 pot caliper (Brembo/Braking/Beringer/Motomaster etc) and matching 13/16mm master, preferably radial ;)Should really get suspension sorted as well - X-bikes are very very good, but in Wisbech which is a bit of a trek, or HMR in Kent :cool:Re rims: Excel are indeed very good but Morad and Akront are ok too, and cheaper. Or go the whole hog and get Alpinas - lorra dollar for them though :w00t:

Or you could get some Duke 2 wheels

Yes you can get the LC4 wheels to fit, you can even buy the spacers from KTM. You will need the spindle for the LC4 front and get a sleeve kit from KTM for the fork bottoms. The rear EXC soindle should just slide rite in. Will need spacers for the front and rear too.

And as already said you will need to change the front brake setup. 310/320mm disc, if you dont wana fork out on an expensive brake setup you can use the origional caliper and master but will need an adaptor for the forks to mak the caliper fit the larger disc. You can also use the caliper and that off a duke/LC4 which is what i have atm untill i can sort a 310 disc for the front so i can fit my Beringer.

All depends on your budget realy

rs125 wheels http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/APRILIA-RS125-RS-125-OZ-WHEELS-RIMS-TYRES-DISCS-06-10-/280581638341?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4153f808c5 if you good measuring up spacers would look sweet:cool: i sold a set of exc spoke wheels not long ago well cheap cos got another set of duke2 wheels. there are plenty of lc4 bikes getting broken for parts so keep a look out on ebay:)

Damn… thought that disc may have done the job for my bike but they are only 300mm
