If I have no pre-arranged ride out on a Sunday I’ll often run up to M&P.
The map at the url below shows a meet point at the layby Junc 2 M40/A355 at Beaconsfield. It’s not a bad run, and there’s a couple of different routes back, the one illistrated ends at the Crooked Billet in Iver.

It’s not a bad run for a Sunday morning, you have the M&P store, Fox’s diner next door (have you tried their “Breakfast Bap” yet ?) and the roads are pretty good to.
