Sunday 3 Oct

Looks like London is best avoided so we were thinking of riding somewhere a long way away.

Leave the Ace at 9.00am, any fellow escapees welcome. Sorry, no 125s as they will be blown over, as for knobbers and Harleys, it could rain, nuff said.:stuck_out_tongue:

When you leading a Trans Saharan run to sample the cream teas in Lagos? Bit less windy here too.

Funnily enough we were discussing this just last night:D Might have to save up a bit first and don’t think we’ll manage to get there for just a day trip on 3 Oct:w00t:

The more I think about it, the more I fancy riding home in a couple of years time…just got to avoid all the trouble spots on route…and certain Belgian bar staff.:w00t:

Sounds a cracking idea Nick. Give us a date and we`ll try to meet you in Burkina Faso on our annual “Shea Butter Nouveau” bash. Blaise Compaoré the president was my fag at public school and owes us a favour or two. Rumour has it he is wasted on palm wine after 11am most days:D

We could meet you on the cathederal steps in Ouagadougou

See photo

Julie is most impressed with Tuscan cathederals so I do not wish to disappoint and Blaise says give a date and he`ll have it painted up a treat.

Julie is so excited she is planning to ration my wine allowence to finance the trip:w00t:

We are as always your most obedient servants, Chris and Julie x

With gusts of 315mph I suspect we will all be some way away whether we wanted to be there or not!

best you tie yourself to bb2 (in a bondage sort of way with mrs j) and have the ride of your life :D:D:D

Keep your webcam of our garage switched off if you don’t mind:cool:

learning all the time!!!:stuck_out_tongue:

seriously i want to know where you got that weather forecast from, 282mph wind?

sure i’ll come, no need for petrol or anything, just hang on!

the one i’ve checked for sunday is quoting merely 13mph, but yours sounds more fun

That really is what Metcheck was showing around 7 pm last night. It sometimes happens at weekends, maybe the staff are having a laugh. We are going on a rideout at that time on Sunday anyway, the direction WILL be weather dependent and may remain a mystery (as is so often the case) to the participants until the last minute:D

Not many takers so far … we may be on our own … mission will continue anyway … watch for details;)

I am up for something on Sunday.

Yes I am up for that [Only the the weather will stop me] Got wet last Sunday not two in a row

i’m really up for it, specially because i can finally meet the jetstream

unfortunately, the weather seems to be on the down side on sunday. will have to see what happens!

is anyone able to do this on saturday? as it looks like the best bet so far.

I would love to join you both and others
BUT my bike is at the dealers for service and waiting for warranty parts from abroad (I know, I should of brought British). My dealer has sold all their demo bikes so they got nought to lend me.
Hope you have a great day

Tony

Hi,

New to Biking and Londons motorcycling. What are the timings for Sunday? Where would we meet and where are we likely to go? As I can’t go to far from London.

See first post " Leave the Ace at 9.00am, any fellow escapees welcome. Sorry, no 125s as they will be blown over, as for knobbers and Harleys, it could rain, nuff said."We should be back before dark, will be 200 - 300 miles ish. The pace will be brisk. Cornerman system will be in use. If you’re new to biking this is probably not suitable for you, sorry:ermm: All participants ride at own risk as usual.

Roughly which direction are you heading?

Will decide on Saturday when looking at the weather map, but if all OK maybe extreme West:D
