Sunday 24th November an anniversary of your choice.

Well, so much happened we can`t decide where to take our favourite friends and new additions, so we are deluded into offering you a choice.

So here goes, all these things happened on 24 November, each offering has a unique and exciting venue.

  1. Rolls and Royce got together in 1906

2.Our monarch Elizabeth married Phil the Greek in 1947

  1. Freddie Mercury died in 1991 (RIP)

  2. Pubs in the UK started opening all day in 2005 (this one gives free sausage & chips to bikers)

  3. St Edmund was martyred in 868 - killed by Vikings shooting arrows at him, whilst tied to a tree, since usurped by St George as our patron saint.

  4. Birth of Toulouse Lautrec in 1864 (he visited England a few years later)

  5. The ā€œOrigin of Speciesā€ was published, author Charles Darwin in 1859

  6. The sad death of muralist Diego Rivera (RIP) husband of Frida Kahlo in 1957

So folks, it’s up to you - vote for your choice, the rideout will reflect your desires:)

We’re not doing one of those poll things, just say what you fancy and we’ll add em up from the number of posts.

The ride will leave the Ace at 9.43 am sharp on Sunday 24th November, no nobbers etc etc.

Not more than 200 miles back before dark (ok dusk) unless you want to spend a lot of time at the shrine of your particular hero.

Get on then, tell us what you want:

If any of those takes you through Sussex, I vote for that one!

Got the day off boyfriend duties but I doubt I can wake up that early to be at Ace for 9.43…

Don’t dismiss Sussex as a destination Alex, we’ll see how the voting goes, but keep it free in yer diary, we could pick you up if passing through;)

I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread then

It’s also the anniversary of the sad death of Diego Rivera, husband of Frida Kahlo, master of the Mexican mural.

We mentioned him not, only because you are the only LB aficionado of his legacy, after this we are adding him in:w00t:

I’m thinking we should have an alternative voting system here where each person votes for three options, the option polling the most votes being our destination or more likely because I’m torn between

Rolls RoyceFreddie MercuryAll Day opening hours
If it comes down to one man one vote I’m interested to know if Jets has really found somewhere offering a free lunch :ermm:

rolls Royce for me, haven’t been to that cafĆ© this year YET

My vote is for Rolls Royce. I hope my riding gear keeps me warm on this ride-out.

No, we didn’t find it but MikeDaBike did, here: http://londonbikers.com/forums/1026751/bike-freindly-pub-in-glatton-on-b660#bm1033229

and it has been visited again but on a Saturday, so you missed it, here: http://londonbikers.com/forums/1032525%5C/single-on-saturday-31.8.13

I’d like to participate in this frolic to as yet an unknown destination, I am a newbie so I’ve read up on the cornerman system and will try to keep up if that’s ok

You’ll be welcome Chris (good name  ). Yes, as yet it is an unknown destination even to us. We note that you’re a mate of Scorch’s so all should be well:Whistling:

Breakfast at the Ace then, see u there, only met Scorch once, he came round to fix the bike, I wouldn’t presume to call him a mate yet, top bloke he is though.

Freddie of course! There’s a chance I may be able to get a pass for this one, like last chance this year

We’ll believe it if we see you - we bet your missus finds alternative uses for your time:D

Well as we need to plan our day out, the final scores are:- Rolls Royce Trois points
Freddie Mercury Deux points
All day opening Un point

So the winner of this years Eurovision rideout is Rolls Royce.

Departure as stated from the Ace Cafe at 9.43am prompt.

Look forward to seeing you all in the morning.

Stop press!

This rideout will involve having coffee and lunch with Serrisan.
