Ok I am sure some of you might know that the FLORA London Marathon is on the 23rd of April. The same day that we are going for the St George’s ride out.

Some roads will be closed between 07:00-anywhere between 14:00 to 19:00 so some people might be affected (myself included) if we have to be at ACE’s by 9:00.

Briefly the roads that will be closed are:

Charlton way
Shooters Hill Road
Artilery Place
John Wilson street
Charlton Road
Charlton Park Lane
Woolwich Church street
Woolwich Road
Trafalgar Road
Creek Road
Evelyn Street
Surrey Quays Road
Salter Road
Brunel Road
Jamaica Road
Tower Bridge
The Highway (south side)
Westferry Road
East Ferry road
Marsh Wall
North Colonnade
Poplar High street
Commercial Road
The Highway (north side)
Byward street
Upper thames street
Victoria Embankment
Birdcage Walk

So for people coming from south/east london try to find alternative routes. From what I can see they will cross over from Tower bridge, so Blackfriars/London/Waterloo will be open.

Vas are they closing at 7 if so, then we might have to meet up before then cos that means basically the whole of the isle of dogs…

Ok the ANTICIPATED (and I stress anticipated) closure times from the list abonve are as follows:

7.00am: Charlton Way, Shooters Hill Road, Little Heath, Charlton Park Lane, Artillery Place, John Wilson Street, Woolwich Church Street, Woolwich Road, Trafalgar Road, Creek Road, Victoria Embankment, Birdcage Walk

8.00am: Everything else.

I guess we could meet at 6.00am

Yup, it’s a winner alright.

You could try the ‘Breakfast of Champions’ instead, like Charlie’s but with Beer not Lager.
