Sunday 16th October. "I want you" rideout.

After a great run out to Hunstanton the other day, I’m looking forward to another run… All being well I’ll see you at Boxhill.

I am doing my Bikesafe on Saturday, so might as well make it a weekend in the saddle!

Ady

you can borrow this one if you want mate. no, don`t thank me. and NO knee downs. i mean it.

Looks like you’d be safe from kidney-punches on that one Leon:D

i’d love to join you all and havent been lead by Mr & Mrs Jetstream in such a long time,

but i’ll be a bit concerned about the gravelly bits since i’ll have a new front tyre and brake pads to bed in…

is there really loads of gravel planned on route?

I didnt notice that bit , If it is for offroaders I’m out, unless my old DT 175 is ok ??

Well the Jets don’t have an offroader… it’s more an all-terrain vehicle that Triumph… :stuck_out_tongue:

Gravel does scrub in new tyres wonderfully…

Of course there will be gravel - there always is - what do you expect on country lanes? A man with a hoover going out before us??

Well, gravel or not, this sounds like a great opportunity to take my new toy for a spin! See you Sunday

I can help if you want scoovering :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m in depending on the intensity of my Saturday morning antics! Leon… get a bike please.

What’s a splitter by the way?

YES LEON, BLOODY WELL GO OUT AND BLOODY WELL GET YERSELF A BLOODY BIKE.

Just for Nice Cup of Tea: Splitters

Would have love to join you on the first ride out of the year for me, but I doubt I can get the bike back on the road for Sunday :O( So much to do…

I could do with being wanted, now that I have returned back to ‘not so sunny’ UK.

Liverpool FC are splitters.

Well then, for those who wish to ride the ride this is the ride to ride.

180 miles Box to Box.

235 miles Ace to Ace.

Sounds like a short one but there are very few main roads.

I know because I got bored and rode the route today.

Make sure you have fuelled up just before Boxhill.

The Box stop is not a refreshment stop, just a pick up point.

There is less gravel than I hoped for but the little there is is placed strategicaly.

Chestnuts, Acorns and Hazelnuts all pose problems.

There is a small water feature but if you blink you will miss it.

I enjoyed it, so did my knee slider and left indicator, now both a little muddy.

Mr J. You got your knee donw? :w00t:

Or was it a case of mud flinging up to your knee slider? :stuck_out_tongue:

In any case, I’m gutted to be missing this… sounds like a proper, old school Jestream rideout… I’ll be resting my tired and weary body in the cotswoldian surrounding of Cheltenham Spa…

Well Alex, the information you seek is on a “need to know” basis and since you won’t be there to inspect the grooves, you’ll probably never know:P

Superglue is my friend.:stuck_out_tongue:

Well you are human after all… :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey Mr. Jetstream it’s been about a few years since my last ride with you and the missus. Now my body’s fully recovered from the last ride LoL :stuck_out_tongue: Let me know if there’s room for me to join.

Blimey! Glad you recovered eventually even though it took 2 years!!

See you on Sunday then? Guessing at Box Hill
