Needing to get a new pair of summer trousers having had the last pair unceremoniously decimated by a scissor happy medic.
Last time I got Draggin Jeans and was more than happy with them for summer use commuting. However, Camo is a bit last year and I was wondering if anyone can recommend any other kevlar brands priced at a level that won’t be too painful to watch shredded but do the job and are suitably frosty. Thanks.
have black combat style pair, lots of pockets for stuff- dunno if its a good idea tho carry stuff in your trouser pockets on while riding a bike- they come with knee armour unlike Draggins, used em all through my time as a courier, cant fault them.
IIRC J&S stock them. They used to have a ‘used’ pair that the, now, shop manager went down in when he broke both his legs; the kevlar panels were on display etc, looked in decent condition given the accident.
I’ve got a pair of Hood Jeans that I snapped up from ebay for £40 inc postage?! Loads of kevlar compared with how much is in the Draggins, and can’t really fault them quality wise so far.
Because I’ve got little legs, they’ve been shortened quite a bit (which is probably why nobody else was bidding on them so I got a bargain), and they don’t taper out enough that you could fit them over your boots … so they have to be tucked into my Sidis. Not a problem per se, but would be better if I didn’t have to, IMHO. Price you pay for being a shortarse I guess.
Probably isn’t the case if you don’t have a shortened pair - but I’d have a look on their website etc first to see if the pictures of people wearing them have their boots tucked in or out of them - if that would be an issue for you.
