Summer Party in September

I’m trying to gauge the level of interest before I put some time and effort into this.

I think an awards ceremony would be in order and if possible a live band maybe followed by a disco.

I’m guessing no entry fee, just turn up and buy your drinks, + no dress code is the way to go. Plus no bikes, get off it so you can get on it.

So the question is, if this was arranged would you actually turn up? I’ve arranged events at work before where 90% of people said they were tentative and 2 turned up so only vote yes if you are serious about attending. If there is a positive enough response I’ll get the wheels in motion. Looks like we have a good venue on the cards already.

September is clear for me at the mo, but I have a week, off may go riding, subject to weather etc

I would attend definitely - as long as it was a Saturday day or eve date, as the weekdays are a bit manic at present.

September looks fairly clear - but I may be travelling for work - so if there are floods continuing in Bangladesh for example, I will not be coming! However, if you do sort it for September I would really hope to be there. I really have enjoyed our LB get togethers :slight_smile:

I’m sure me and Jaime would be in attendance but our weekends at the end of sept are full already… we’d be looking at the weekends of 8th or 15th currently available :slight_smile:

I’ll be happier when it stops raining for the week before the New York snow crosses over instead of seeking out more rain elsewhere.

Hummm I just read about Punarvasu and his amphibian bride Pushala Indian wedding. I wonder if the villagers request a frog devorce party after floods?

I have absolutely no idea what I’ll be doing in September. I tend to decide these things the night before but yes it sounds like a good idea :smiley:

maybe as long as it dont clash with the rockers run to the ace.

also no boats for me, lol

wot about using the ace maybe having a bike show during day then londonbikers party at night, this also gives people option to use bike or not as the tube is just down the road.

It will all depend on the dates, but in principle i’m up for a “summer” party.

think a boat party to the thames would be a good laugh something different :slight_smile: or we hold a LB party at the ace cafe dinner and dance type event?

Alba, drink enough and you can ‘rock’ in the opposite direction to when the Boat rocks… I get motion sickness when I see you throw your bike into the corners… :rolleyes:

Really is not too bad, obviously will be on the base mooring when tide is out so will not move, and a little when tide comes in… Is a nice venue too overlooking Parliment and Big Ben… I am sure you will be fine…

I am hoping - fingers crossed - that the 1st 2 weeks in September that I will be in the Alps on my bike :slight_smile:

Any time after that I should be able to go
