Summer Night Out

Seems simpler to have somewhere fairly low key and unpretentious like the Porterhouse - which is in Covent Garden and which we found easy to get in on a Saturday night with no dress code or guest list.

If it’s a dress code and guest list kind of night it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea (am not that into massively glammed up suited and booted nights either really). Or we can relocate to the suburbs and find a nice pub garden where we can show up for a pint or a glass of wine and not pay 5 thousand quid for half a pint of lager;)

I only wear trainers (i.e. all stars etc)… can’t imagine going on a night out in leather shoes…

Can I throw a spanner in the works here? As others have said Covent Garden and the surrounding areas tend to try to be quite ‘exclusive’ with limited outdoor space. I remember many a sweaty nights in Covent garden bars last summer and the one before it…

That is my concern.

I tend to go clubbing in trainers, comfort over style has to be the order of the day sometimes.

maybe Cargo in Shoreditch? Free before 10 or £6 after, has great live bands, fab outdoor area and cheap beer

mmmm I like Cargo…

That’s why I take out a flask full of courvoisier slips nicely in my back pocket and puts less strain on the wallet!! :stuck_out_tongue:

My vote is defo for a dress code. Then we can keep the scruffs out :stuck_out_tongue:

kinell

On second thoughts…

i know of a rather good student union in euston

& its not full of teenagers lol as it’s an adults eve school primarily

Maybe you can all hire the sunshine bus to pick you up from the teahut?Someone change the title to Inbreds Day Out

Moto-King

Well I’m not going barefoot… hippy or not london streets are filthy! :stuck_out_tongue:

True:Whistling:

You’re more than welcome to come along. It’s an open invite.

Hm, I’m a man, so I don’t have wardrobes full of shoes :w00t:

if no trainers, then my alternatives are 20 hole ranger boots or biker boots, probably nothing they let me in with either.
Porterhouse sounds good imo

He won’t. He’ll just sit at home poking fun from behind his keyboard as usual:doze:

OK, so trainers must be an option.

I’m with Hels on this, somewhere unpretentious sounds good. Never been to The Porterhouse, but it sounds like a lot of people approve of it.

I am a keyboard warrior thats what we do.And I am the Moto-King the forums version of the Stig. Aanyway I can’t be seen at the moment got to many girls from other forums after me.

so were going for a “london” night out, but it has to be pikey (trainers) cheap and if it was up to hels not in london??

talk about making it hard!!! How can guys not have one pair of half decent brown shoes to put on with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt? This is the new era FFS where blokes look after themselves and even, shock horror occassionaly moisturise and you lot are rocking one pair of scruffy trainers to your names…

You can’t wear trainers when you go out people. Its like wearing trainers to a nightclub. Dress Smart…

I always wear a suit and bow tie.Like a snooker player.
