Stupid mother at stop light

So I am riding my bicycle to work this morning on the Finchley Road South bound and approaching the Lights by Finchley Road station. I see the lights have turned red so I start to slow down and mums and their kids are crossing the road. About halfway through the cycle box a mum jumps off the curb into front of the bike and starts screaming at me to not break the red light as kids are crossing ( I am already stopping and had unclipped my left foot to put down). So all the other mums start shouting at me…never mind I am in the green cycle box fully stopped. I tell her I was going to stop and she says “you never were you were going too fast and you were going to break the red light” I tried to explain the cycle box is for bicycles and we dont need to stop at the first stop line with the cars. She is not having it and continues shouting …so i then suggested maybe she should get on a bike and she might lose some of that excessive weight she was carrying…that did not go down well.

Very weird experience being shouted at for doing nothing wrong!

ps. If I had actually been intending to break the red light I would have hit her hard…with her jumping in front of the bike

You should of just blipped the throttle… oh wait, this is a motorbike forum right?

I blipped my chain set…and I went for a 150 mile ride in the country on Saturday with Rixxy on the blade…you were nowhere to be seen :stuck_out_tongue:

You should have told her that jumping in front of the bike caused you to nearly lose balance because of the tremor it caused…

Meh you’re never going to win with self-opinionated tw*ts so make as much fun of them as possible, don’t lose your cool and keep smiling. What’s more funny than winding up someone up? Especially fat people cause you get to see the ripples in the fat as they furiously move about trying to make a point!

He could not keep up with us lot :w00t:

That’s pretty normal for those of us that are married…

I had a girl shout at me once late at night (in the lorry) for beeping at her as she crossed the road at a set of lights. She thought she was in the right and was effing and blinding as she pointed at the red light. Unfortunately she didnt spot the green filter “straight ahead” light also illuminated.
I just smiled sweetly

They are wierd round there. Just got back from Arkwright Road/Finchley Rd. Millions of huge 4x4’s double parked picking up the little darlings from school. One yummy mummy took 5 minutes to park a VolvoSUV in a space you could park a bus in and then they left it sticking out. So nobody could get past. Inflated views of their own importance methinks.

Did that once with the Akrapovic. Got in a lot of trouble for it… and the child started crying.

Told her to go take care of her of offspring. I would normally feel bad but given the abuse she was spewing at me from her drivers seat, and bumping my rear tyre. All because I legally filtered. Then again I was a bit of a dipshit back then.
