Why don’t you want to fit heated grips? It’s not a big job, and you can easily remove them and put the old grips back on when it comes to selling the bike.
I had the Oxford muffs on my Bandit once but on a motorway I got the levers-being-pushed-in problem. Never used them since. Might try the mod suggested by Garrett.
Thanks everyone! Blinding response. :DLike Roadrunners insulating the levers idea - will deffo try out in combo with the latex gloves.
Love tattoist chicks muffs - don’t give a toss what they look like lol
Hi Easyrider, thanks mate, might take another look at the hot grips then - yeah off the radar for a bit after joining a dating site - it was a bit of a novelty for a few weeks but I can’t be arsed to go out on dates now it’s getting so cold lol!
The more I read about the cold, the more I want to buy some muffs as they appear to be the best solution and should go nicely with my heated grips… But the issue of wind pressing the levers worries me. Surely there is a brand out there that has solved this?
Oxford muffs, make a hole in the side of the muffs and put a big washer on the outside of the muffs and connect via allen bolt that go’s into your bar end, and this is not a problem…
I got heated grips and muffs and riding in thin summer gloves
I rode with the muffs and daytona heated grips and I was toastie!! The grips on their own I found weren’t enough for any distance. I was just careful with the muffs on the levers, it didn’t pose a huge problem with the wind but you can forget trying to indicate!
