Those of you that have seen the state of my leathers (Steady Chunky! ). Yet again I sent them away to be cleaned, retanned and infumigated!:sick: The last time was abount a year ago when I sent’em to scrubbersleathers.co.uk (dont bother looking, they’re gone I fink). That guy made noises and welched-out. I sent them recently to a firm LTT Solutions who after recieving photo’s quoted “about £100” which always seemed way too cheap considering the state of my leathers. On recieving the leathers they call to say that it would be £350!:blink: and they’d not do the pictures and name on the back (too fiddly)! The week turned in to 2 weeks and then to 4 weeks! They arrived back today. The wife has just called to say that its £350 well spent!:w00t: I do hope that 1) the leather do look that good, there is the silk purse/sows ear thing. 2) that the retanning and stuff lasts the 4-5yrs these guys would hope as a min.
If the leathers do indeed look that good, I’ll have to clean my MX boots now?
At least you sent them to a proper leather cleaner…I have recently been in talks with Keith from fastrack and received his leathers last week after he’d sent them to a dry cleaners to have them re-lined and new zips…they have effing ruined them he got them back with the linings hanging out and the zips are cheap crap! oh and they had’nt stitched the fly zip in the right way…DO NOT SEND LEATHERS TO DRY CLEANERS…unless they are confident of a good repair keith has learnt the hard way.
Look-at-that-mutha-father!:w00t: The leathers had been clean a bit before i sent’em, but most of that grey /brown is where the colour had come off. I hope the coating lasts?
