Jeez bløødy Greenwich is murder for stolen bikes.

If you can have a look around some of the side roads near Up the Creek, it’s where my mates bike was found after it was stolen.

Hope you find it/they get caught!

Yeah I will take a walk around, ive looked around my immediate area and no sign of it.
I always thought xj6’s were not very desirable bikes to steal but seems they will steel anything

Man thats **** news nice looking bike aswell these feckers will steal anything that will get them about or turn them a profit hope you get sorted real quick an karma deals them a hand they truly deserve or better still i come across them an your p an j .

Damn an XJ6!Greenwich has a serious motorcycle theft problem.

Bastards!

Hope it turns up again, or at least the insurance pays out before you go away.

Or better still, Redrat finds 'em :stuck_out_tongue:

Im now wondering how much they will pay out,i dont want to get shafted.Teaches me to not lock the thing up.

Bad luck mate

Just out of curiosity, did it have an alarm or disc lock or cover on it at the time?

Na I didnt,I have parked a bike on the road for 3 years and never had a problem.
Luckily I dont have any security on my policy.

Gutted for you good luck with the insurers.

Sh!t man hope you find it… Wasn’t that long ago we were out having a blast on it.

schade! viel glueck!

They probably wouldn’t bother putting an angle grinder to a chain to get it, but any motorcycle/scooter that is parked without being secured to anything faces a very high likelihood of being taken, especially in Greenwich, unless it is a real dog. A newish one like yours was just asking to be wheeled away. I take it you didn’t have anything to chain it to?

I dont have anything to secure it to thats why I have never bothered with a chain,I sometimes use a disc lock but havnt used it for about 6 months now.I have learnt my lesson and my next bike will deff have at least a disc lock on and a cover.

Just a question does anyone have any idea what insurance would offer me,I bought the bike new for 5k and it is 10months old so not sure how much they will rob me.

gutted hope its recovered soon :frowning:

Don’t they have to pay market value? It’s probably worth having a scout around to see what similar bikes are going for.

I could be wrong - but take a look at this…

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-16270723

Pretty sure the bike in the foreground is a Triumph, the other didnt look like an XJ either

It’s a Street Triple the white one… the other one not sure…

Sorry to turn this into a bit of a joke but I think that’s the most bizarre description of a street triple ever…

“Police attended to reports of four men on two scooters smashing a shop window with hammers and making off with the contents.”

The other one is deff not an xj,my bike is probably underground somewhere down the road from me
