They took my bike, 2004 black with a silver panel over the tank; photo attached.
They grabbed it in the early hours of the 11th of Feb right in front of the house.
probably lifted into a van as there was no sign of it. It had disk lock and bike lock front and rear.
Police say there is a lot of this going on right now in North London. I have no faith that
they will find it.
WTF am i supposed to do to keep the next one getting stolen!!?
Anchor it to something would be a beginning.

Was the bike chained down to anything?
Ground anchor with an Almax Immobiliser IV chain seems to be the best way to discourage thieves, but nothing certain.
Alas, I have to leave it on the street and there is little to chain it to; I will see about using a tree next time, though.
Do people have OK experiences with trackers? It seems like overkill.
Sorry to hear your bike got nicked. Get a bin and fill it with cement and put a U shaped metal bar in the middle of it. Let it set and use it as an anchor, invest in an Almax chain and lock it to the concrete bin
