yer I read this, the bit about the police closing the case 2 days after it happened without doing much is so true as that is exactly what happened to me!
Although was less, I reported Monday morning and Wednesday morning I got the letter saying we’re closing the case we’ve done all we can..
its a “victimless crime” is how they see these, it’s just property, I think their attitude needs to change before a change can be made.
This happened to me something like 9 years ago, and 9 years on if I hear the slightest noise near the garage I’m up looking out the window checking CCTV etc, so yer victimless my arse
