Still Hoping

As I posted before my bike was stolen 7 months ago cbr 600 99 model. As I only had third party insurance I got no money. Is it worth contacting the police to ask if they have recovered it yet or they will contact me when they find it?

Er… isn’t that "third party, fire and theft "?

No that’s TPFT, I think he means TPO Third-party only. Not everyone offers it, meant for total dogs that no-one would nick.

also meant for people who cant afford the extra charge for the f n theft , duh

give up on it the police will call you if they have any information. i got a letter about my stolen RR that i could meet the person they nicked for it. not sure if i should meet him because

a) i’ll smack about

b)nothing will come of it

c) don’t want him sending his friends round to take the SV

Thats interesteding, IMHO I think you should meet the person if they have been caught and you have been offered this. If nothing else you would recognise him if he did come round and try to nick your SV. It also shows him that you give a sh1t. I expect there is information on preparing for how to deal with the meeting and am sure you would feel better for it and hopefully he would feel worse.

Do you honestly think that your bike is still in one piece and that bits of it have not been sold on ebay or elsewhere.

Hope it didn’t end up involved in a ‘biker down’ incident…:Whistling:

Don’t you have some friends in the V-Twin Massive that are also in the Council Estate Massive and that know people that know people that hurt some people? Or are they just a wick bunch of fags as Terry mention when leaving that “massive” for his own “my nuts are still hurting” one? :stuck_out_tongue:

I am 8 months down the line as well with a bike stolen and the pisstake is that I have seen it twice now. Not able to chase a bike in a car though. One day I’ll be on my bike and will give chase.

Why would you not put theft on your insurance??
Sorry fella don’t mean to offend you but that just seems backwards!

Because sadly sometimes you don’t have the money for TPFT cover and have to settle for TPO instead. A hard choice to make. My house was broken into and the keys for 3 chains and the bike stolen, + car keys, passports + tickets etc while we were sleeping upstairs. That is not something you can really do much about. Such is life. Current bike is TPFT covered and again chained up etc… If I can catch up with my stolen bike I will!
