Poor old Steve Wright’s missed the ferry by 20 minutes, and will not be making an appearance at the Ace tonight for those who were supposed to be meeting him.:ermm:
Here’s hoping he manages to get the next ferry, or he’ll have to start bedding down in what he refers to as “Enemy territory”! lol:P
Have you noticed that all the signposts are in a funny language down there as well?:w00t:
I see you managed to find the internet cafe ok then? Just remember, don’t start singing or whistling any Orange songs, or shouting “Up the Brits”!!! lol:D
to be fair, i left 3 hours to do 124 miles, which was more than enough time…
traffic was so bad in belfast and close together, so couldnt filter much, so instead of doing 60mph, i was stuck to about 20 for the first 40 mins of the trip…
Then got to Dublin, and it must be an Irish thing, but Dun Laoghaire wasnt sign posted very well!!!
Oh and I love the way the irish pronunciation leaves visitin’ English tourists lookin’ like utter pillox!
“Excuse me my good man, can you tell me the way to Dun Log-a-hair ferry port please… I’m supposed to be meeting my good friend See-Ob-A-Han there… See-Ob-a-Han you know, Siobhan… See-Ob-a-Han…”
Took me a few goes with that to get the right pronuniciation for a start… think they enjoyed sending me all over the shop, but hey, I’ve sent Yanks to Kings Cross when looking for Lie-Sester Square before so… reap what you sow eh
