Steve's missed the ferry!...

Poor old Steve Wright’s missed the ferry by 20 minutes, and will not be making an appearance at the Ace tonight for those who were supposed to be meeting him.:ermm:

Here’s hoping he manages to get the next ferry, or he’ll have to start bedding down in what he refers to as “Enemy territory”! lol:P

RR:w00t:

Did he go to the bus station instead? :Whistling:

They probably could’nt understand him when he was asking for directions…if only Garret gave him those lessons

oh what a twat, honestly, thankgod i could meet him after all!

oi, im watching wot ye’s r sayin…

Yes, i did indeed miss my boat, traffic was so bad coming out of belfast, wind was soo strong, and almost got pulled by the garda…

Missed the boat by 20 mins, and theyve cancelled rest for today due to weather!!

So im trying to pass time in Dublin at the moment… they all speak funny down here :w00t:

Providing its still on, my next boat is 9;30 tonight, gets into holyhead half 12, then staying at travel lodge, so got all day to ride back tomorow…

Have you noticed that all the signposts are in a funny language down there as well?:w00t:

I see you managed to find the internet cafe ok then? Just remember, don’t start singing or whistling any Orange songs, or shouting “Up the Brits”!!! lol:D

RR

Also, make sure you don’t have huge pictures like this on your computer screen!!!

that was a very cheeky thing to do roadrunner… theyre already giving me funny looks as it is…lol

Remember, if it kicks off, just start shouting “Up the Ra” etc…:w00t:

Stay safe mate, I’m off out for a blast on the bike. Weathers lovely over here!..lol:P:w00t:

RR

Perhaps you can give them Prod-speak lessons!
Only messin’!

“…if only Garret []had given[/color] him those lessons.” :Whistling:

Shame you never got your words rite on auction nite :D;)

ohhh steve’o…thats pants mate…but surley with that boat your riding…there’s no problem;).

good job i didnt set off to meet you eh dude?:w00t:.

anyways…take ur time mate and see you when you get here…give me a text and i’ll try and meet you somewere

smiled:D.

see if you were coming into Liverpool you could have stayed with aunty westy:D

Only one thing i can say YOU tWIT.:stuck_out_tongue:

to be fair, i left 3 hours to do 124 miles, which was more than enough time…

traffic was so bad in belfast and close together, so couldnt filter much, so instead of doing 60mph, i was stuck to about 20 for the first 40 mins of the trip…

Then got to Dublin, and it must be an Irish thing, but Dun Laoghaire wasnt sign posted very well!!!

Dun Laoghaire is a knacker;s arse to find fella.

I get lost EVERY time.

Oh and I love the way the irish pronunciation leaves visitin’ English tourists lookin’ like utter pillox!

“Excuse me my good man, can you tell me the way to Dun Log-a-hair ferry port please… I’m supposed to be meeting my good friend See-Ob-A-Han there… See-Ob-a-Han you know, Siobhan… See-Ob-a-Han…”

Took me a few goes with that to get the right pronuniciation for a start… think they enjoyed sending me all over the shop, but hey, I’ve sent Yanks to Kings Cross when looking for Lie-Sester Square before so… reap what you sow eh

Note to self…do NOT ask Toby for directions when I’m next in London.

hahaha, actually roadrunner was telling me a wee story, one of his mates spent ages driving all over dublin looking for Dun Leary…

He said he could only find a place called Dun Log Haire

:w00t::w00t:

the rest of the story…

Get it right proddy
