interesting film about photographers photographing in public spaces around the city of London and building security getting up tight and trying to prevent them doing so, even though they are on public land.
I enjoy watching these sorts of videos
great link. there`s loads of this on youtube and its a good watch.
lol, nice film, all these banks have hired secruity who probably do sweet fook all 99% of the time, so they see a photographer and it’s Defcon 1! :hehe:
Very interesting video! Thanks for sharing.
Security have a tough call to make. You can understand why they’re asked to stop people taking photos, but the law’s the law!
haha they should of come to canary wharf
If you want to break into a building and take everyone hostage… or blow it up… just hire 5 photographers to take pictures first … all the security will be so damm busy being ueber nazi control freaks, the doors will be unguarded… hey presto…
I wonder how many of those big city banks have CCTV filming every person who walks past their doors? Perhaps we should ask them to stop filming us ‘for security reasons’
If i wanted to stake out an area for bombing, I probably wouldn’t sit outside it for 20 minutes with a tripod
I recon that police should give security managers a bollocking everytime they call them out for stupid reasons like this…
Very nice vid and particularly liked the quote “The Terrorism Act and Other Acts”… what a tw*t!!!
Why would terrorists need to send a photographer to scout a target when they have google streetview? :doze:
The authoritarian mindset has always looked for reasons to extend its power and control over us - some of those reasons are real - others are invented.
Anyone spot the irony that this video was posted a mere 27 minutes after the Oslo bombing?
I understand why these companies are not happy, but if you were a terrorist I am sure you could have a x100000 zoom lense and get all the pictures you want from 10 blocks away. The building is on the street, if you don’t want it filmed cover it:) I don’t care how. %70 of the security guards not english/british and probably %90 don’t know the law. Wonder how many motorbikes got stolen while the police was waisting time on these calls.
Should say: “I am filming something else, your building is just in the way:))”
By the way you are allowed by law to go into any building that has CCTV and demand a copy of the video if you are on it and they have to comply.
Good to see the police knew what they were talking about and didn’t try to pretend that there was some law to stop people taking photographs.
Good video…
It’d be interesting to see a repeat with ‘ethnic’ looking photographers and see how long they were allowed to stay there!
you don’t wanna open that can
