Does anyone use Spotify who would either be able to give me an invite code for the free service - or point me in the direction of some place I might be able to find one? Google throws up lots of duffs

Not the foggiest how it works :)I went on the website just now to try and download it but was told it was invite only ā¦ so now I need an invite :DAssume there is a link inside the program when it is running to āinvite friendsā or something ā¦ but I canāt get into the program to see if that is the case or not :crazy:
got your pm. a m8 come over and put it on for me. it might not be for a few days or so before i see him again but i will ask him so you might get an invite soon. see what i can do.

Looks like Spotify has changed a bit since we first joined - but thanks Mr-C for the reminder to load it on to new PC. It does seem that if you have the free version you canāt send out invites. Hope DL Chatel can help tomorrow.

This link seems to suggest that it changed on 18 January ā¦ so if you did it before that date ā¦ then youāll have had it easy

Thatās not very clever really, it doesnāt use much bandwidth and keeps the masses happy 
apparently it did use loads of bandwidthā¦ :ermm: well that was their reason! 
Individually it doesnāt use much bandwidth, but if everyone in the office is using it then it all adds up. A couple of places I work at theyāve just used an old Mac and made it into a itunes/music server and have it plugged into the stereo. If you donāt like the tunes then use your iPod is the policy.

Has it become invite only? It used to be a free for all. Maybe they have too many users and are trying to slow it down while they upgrade their servers.
No theyāre just making more money this way.
