walk.
Attached are some pictures of a walk that I walked on Sunday just gone.
It is a walk that runs through parts of the Kent countryside about 20 minutes drive from me, in Dartford. From London, Dartford is about 1 hours drive (or 45 min ride) or 1 hour and a bit on the train. The actual walk starts from the pub grounds, Hodsoll Street, Ash-Cum-Ridley, Wrotham, and finishes at the pub. It takes about 2 hours, there are parts that are taxing. (all in all its about 4.5 to 5 miles approx). There are some interesting sights along the way and is a very nice route.
It starts at a pub called the Green Man which does a great roast dinner (with real gravy)-(and many other meals also suitable for vegetarian) and has a number of real ales on tap.
Primarily my colleagues at work are coming forwards, but if there are enough of us interested, I wanted to look into organising a sponsored walk to raise money for Breast Cancer research. Any LBrs interested?
Could you let me know if you or anyone you know would be interested and I will then think about organising this and speaking to the landlord of the pub depending on numbers (he may give us a discount on any meals we may want to eat after the walk). Its a real opportunity to get a lot of people raising a lot of money from friends and family and colleagues.
Any tips/help welcome…
