Speed cameras & lines on the road?

Why are there lines on both side of the road when there is one camera pointing only one way?

So they can twist the camera around when they fancy a change of scene for it.

I mean for Gatsos? :stuck_out_tongue:

As he said, so they can rotate it 180 degrees and cover the other side of the road. This used to happen a lot on the A4 near Hammersmith for example.

Yep so they can use one camera and point in either direction. Beware of them changing that direction when you least expect it. Nowadays as a rule whan I see the lines I make sure im doing the speed limit dont matter if theres a camera or not or if its pointing in the wrong direction.

same here… just wondered about the ‘logic’ of it all

Even if they never turn the camera around, it’s a cheap way of making people drive to the speed limit.

I quite like the speed camera on the A406 westbound (around neasden I think) - it’s been pointing into a tree for months !

those birds must be flying v fast!! :w00t::w00t:

I wave at the forward facing ones if they go off and the camera vans keeps me happy

 Excellent love it.
