Seeing as the weather’s going to be nice tomorrow I thought I’d go up to see my cousin in Northampton.
I’ve never been before, though, so I don’t know the nicest way to go - obviously I don’t want to go on the motorway.
I live in south-east London so I assume I’ll have to go through town first - but then what? The A5? Something else?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
A5 or A6 both ok or divert at hemel hempstead then take the A4146 to leighton buzzard, then on to buckingham chuck a right follow ya nose and you will hit northampton eventually :D:D
Could try A40 then North up A413 to Aylesbury then to Buckingham, Towcester and Northampton. Did this ride last year and twas good.
Thanks, chaps.
I think I might do one way there and the other back.
That should be a nice ride. I used to live around that way (northampton).
We met you & Oldguy for a ride around that area :)- very good biking roads nearby and the world-famous http://www.transportcafe.co.uk/jackshill.html
lessismore s routes are mostly good.
Just watch for any “interesting” deviations he recommends. They seem to include farm yards, livery stables and roads time and the local highway authority seem to have forgotten.
