£12.50 for that?? Listen, I’d knock them up for half that. Infact, special discount: buyonegetonefree. I’ll even laminate the thing for ya. I gut quite neeet and-riting and reely gud spelin too
Actually its a solid card not a cheap laminated thing…I dont think its that expensive when its something that could save your life at the side of the road…sure you could scribble it down on some paper…but a paramedic will not look for it…this he will…your choice at the end of the day.
My friend used to wear a special medical bracelet round her wrist just incase she had an accident as she was allergic to certain drugs. Dont forget they usually rummage around for a wallet to find out your name…so they will spot this.
As much as it seems like a good idea, I can pretty much guarantee that if you bin your bike and you’re not in a fit state to tell the ambulance crew your name, then the last thing they’ll be doing is ratching through your pockets to find a wallet with some ID in it.
As for having the blood type on it, No hospital would give a patient any blood without checking the blood group first. It used to be the case that anyone needing blood could be given type O blood until their correct group was found, but not any more.
Ok so its been up here for a while … just seen it bloody great idea every little helps I’d take 2 and one for the lady … 12.50 bargain. and you lot quibbling over something that could help weather it does or not who cares… It just mite… but you’d spend 600 plus on a Yoshi or some other stupid bit of bling for the bike and all that will do is help find it when its stuck in a bush. twinkle twinkle…
Simple solution, put ICE as a contact in your phone
“In Case of Emergency” with ur next of kins details, and even allergies etc in the notes
Most medical crews check for contact details in mobile phone now, i’d imagine as they’re much more likely to find your home phone number there than in your wallet. Putting ICE in your phone can save them a lot of time going through contact lists, and cuts out the guesswork
