Well I will have by the end of today !
Just about to jump on the bike and do the 600 odd miles to the North of Scotland. Weather is suposed to be fine till the Midlands where they are on flood alert !! :crazy:
Hopefully I’ll have some decent weather up there so I can enjoy the roads.

On a busa yes, it’s singe… on anything else it’s torture lol.
I had my Mark tormenting me all weekend with his nice throne upon his busa, where as my skinny thin thing that’s called a seat on the K7 is hell, 10 mins and my back and bum kill.

I did 1400 miles in 3 days on a naked bike, think I get the award for least suitable bike to do a job:D

Ride safe…and bring back alot of pictures so the rest of us can live vicariously through you. (And if you felt inclined to take alot of pictures while riding through the Midlands area, the Peaks District perhaps?, I’d love to look at them!)

I did the trip in 12 hours and that included loads of coffee breaks etc.
I took the M1 and then turned off on to the M6. The wind started there and there wassomehorrible gusts but it stayed dry. Just north of Birmingham the rain started and it was bad at some points - it left loads of water on the road (As rain does !?!?!) and the spray was bad - visibility was low and the traffic was at a crawl.
The weather did brighten up and from Carlisle onwards (apart from the odd little shower) the going was good.
There was a slight problem on the way up with me bending my key but having the foresite to take my spare, that problem was easily solved - I don’t think I would have liked to be waiting for ages for the AA in the middle of nowhere - it was a silly thing I did - will share all at the next meet !
I didn’t stop to take pics as I was drenched and cold, so sorry to those that asked.
I’ve actually only had one day out on the bike since I’ve been up here in Scotland, the weather has been really bad during the day and in the evenings the temprature has plummeted to zero - not nice.
So I’ve got my return journey on Sunday - not sure what the weather is going to be like and I’m not to sure I want to know - I’m going to look like the Michelin Man with all my layers on !!
