some help guys or sarcasm from mr moto

hi all and terry
right were do i start as posted by exile yep its currently a push bike

decided to rewire the bike from scratch
all the lights indicators instument nos ect work
one of the carbs was overflowing sorted that cleaned the whole bank
put new petrol in petrol definatly getting to carbs
however it wont start
cleaned the spark plugs and checked that i was getting a spark out of all 4 spark plugs that seems fine
double checked id wired in the ignitor correctly that all seems fine been told if it wasent i wouldent get a spark at the plug ?
re-looked at the wiring diagrame got neutral light showing when i put it into gear the neutral light goes out
only reason im telling you this is that i dont use a side stand switch i dont think that is the problem

when cranking it over all you hear is the starter moter trying to turn over the engine but no hint of it firing some spluttering of the carbs thats it

i cheked the ignition pick up just incase something came loose when i was putting the engine back in the frame all seems well
ive tried quick start no help

so what next???

anyone in the area who can help me out would be appreciated otherwise it looks like im writting off this years riding

So you got a spark and fuel ? :slight_smile:

Have you checked the loom with a meter? Perhaps your leaking power from the battery.

And the obvious, the kill switch has no problems?

Other than that, I out of ideas???

now some one tell me why
i changed 1/4 to 2/3 and 2/3 to 1/4
and started first time ive been at this for a week now
and seems sorted in 30 sec
still wanna know what i did wrong though

terry should be out next week il shout ya as for fully comp you dont need it when your bikes been put together with blue tak apparantly

I know how you feel, I did a similar thing with the bandit, wired up the starter coils upside down and wondered why it didn’t work. Took me a few days to sort it out.
