So who’s washed their helmet lining in prep for the new bike season? Did mine y’day and now it smells lovely.

I have been meaning to do that for ages, as mine does not smell as fresh as it should if you know what I mean.

I had to wash the visor and shell everytime I rode with all this road salt but its my face shield that needs a wash its starting to smell of my breath and that’s not good.

I haven’t had my current helmet more than about nine months, and I’m buying a new one soon… so is there any real point?

Plus I always smell fresh, like roses.

Washed mine end of December before starting courier work, so I guess that makes it last year :smiley:

I have two lids, one for going to work as i sometimes come home dirty and another lid for best.

Is that for formal gatherings, like birthdays, weddings, funerals etc?

Funnily enough … was talking about this today.

For shame - I’ve never done mine (although I did buy a bottle of baby shampoo with the best of intentions last summer :hehe: )

How long can I expect it to take to dry? If I do it on a Friday night/Saturday morning … is there any hope of it being ready for business on Sunday morning or not?

Did the cheek pads in the rx7 a week ago, was surprised how dirty the water was!

I bought a viper gt for work recently, mrs pw doesn’t like the new arai smell on my face? Strange cause I like that new helmet smell…

Mine gets a wash very regularly, only did mine and Marks last week. Such a pain to do with the headphones and wires running through it :pinch:

I lubed the visor of mine up just the other day. The Mrs called me from work, asked what I was doing and when I said ‘lubing my helmet’ she went very quiet…:w00t:

Still haven’t got round to giving it a good scrubbing yet though.
