Does any LBer have a set of these? If so, how do you rate them?
They’re not cheap, but I’m a total fanny and this morning my hands were freezing even with big winter gloves and heated grips on full power.
I’m not interested in bar muffs they’d be a bit too cumbersome for my bike.
Me and Dawn Got the hybrids at the show and ive fitted them to mine and Tiggi’s bikes, didn’t go for the extra protection ones as the normal ones have enough protection - let’s face it nobody is going to be doing the speeds that would require that extra protection in this weather… They are bloody warm without even being switched on, wouldn’t think more then 50% would really be needed with the temperatures we get in the UK but 100% is roasting! they also have a lifetime guarantee for the heating element! You won’t be disappointed, i got them to throw in the extra cable (springy) but have taken it off as it flaps around in the wind and really do not need it as the standard y cable is long enough… I have the connecter coming out near the front of the seat!
They look exactly the same as the ones I got from Powered Adventure. Don’t know if they are called ‘hybrid’ or X whatever but they are the same as that image.
Quality bits of kit.
I like the knuckle protection as it also cuts out some windchill when the gloves are off (or when you burn through the cable as I did last week). The gauntlet style means they sit over my jacket cuffs but they fasten up tight so no water got in when it rained.
The heat is very good and you probably won’t often need the hottest setting. Having said that the heat all seems to be on the back of your hand and fingers…I couldn’t feel much warmth on the fronts. But TBH they are so hot that it didn’t bother me and the thermal lining in them seems pretty good.
Shame they’re not Goretex but see other thread on waterproofing before first use…
