Soooo i just moved house … Saw a weird thing in the kitchen … was not sure what it was for . House is full of touch screen **** even the cooker is touch screen **** . Figured it must be something to do with the kitchen or heating or summat . Soo then I was showing the boss the new house on google maps and he says " I see you have solar panels " I says " Do I ? " …“Aye” he says . So I came home looked at the roof and there the feckers are !! So the thing in the kitchen must be summat to do with those .

Does anyone know anything about these things and the thing in the kitchen ? The thing in the kitchen is about the size of a sat nav and for whatever reason its cordless and you can walk around with it ???

I was fussy…ish , but it was dark when I looked at it ,and its 3 storys so the roof is a longer way up than normal . Google satellite veiw is about the only way to see them . But so far yer all no fekin help atall .

Do I have to do anything with them or do they just work is what I want to know ? And should I be buying an electric car and charging it up for free :smiley:

Thats a good question ,I can see 2 big panels up there . The thing in the kitchen says Aurora on it and has a pic of 2 panels and then some graphics that join in a line to the house . It says it is in sleep mode just now .

Sounds like you have solar PV, Aurora is a good model of inverter but only two panels is a small system. You’d be generating 500W probably, not going to make you a millionaire but you could run daytime appliances up to that power for free.

It’s all automated, electricity is generated in daylight hours and fed into your house. It’s up to you to use it, if not it goes to grid. Where you can save money is using the power when it’s generated-it can’t be stored. Have a look at the box on a bright day and see what it says.
