As I have only ridden the cruiser twice in the last month and as soon as I am back from hols it will be getting sold, it seems inappropriate to continue being called Cruiserchick. When I first passed, I thought I would suit the cruiser style of bike, but the fact is it bores me rigid, beautiful to look at, but doesn’t like corners or a ‘progressive pace’! Many people on here know me as Ally as my name is part of my signature and as I am always likely to have curly hair, I’m guessing this change won’t be too challenging for anyone to get used to!
I went out with a girl like that once.

Saturday is just to see if I can get on it and find out if I’m experienced enough yet (up to 7,000+ miles in 4 months :w00t:) to handle all that power. Don’t want to feel out of my depth. Then I have to see what it looks like when the panniers are taken off, or go for the non-tourer option. I will be doing a lot of trips on it, but don’t want it to look minging on day rides! Also I am pretty sure I want ABS and I don’t think this one has it, so probably won’t end up buying this particular one. I still love the Beemer, especially since I have conquered my fear of giving it some seriously welly and getting the red line to flash at me :w00t:, so not in such a desperate hurry - I think it would be sensible for me to try some others like the VFR, CBF1000 and a semi-faied Fazer before I finally commit. But think I will be gutted if I don’t end up with the z1000SX (the SX bit is very important!)

Exactly! My taste in bikes will change far more often than my hair - easier to keep changing my picture than the user name!
Unfortunately can’t make it tonight George, but should be there next Wednesday with both Mike (the b/f) and hopefully Per (who a number of you have now met - my DAS partner). The latter has now finally (he passed a month before me) bought a bike - a Bandit 1250s which he picks up on Tuesday, so wil need some people to tell him how lovely it is!!
