Scientists say that Corvids (the crow family) are as clever as chimps and make and use tools etc - this wild crow has independently invented snowboarding all by itself with a jam jar lid! :w00t:
This is quite a stunning level of abstract thinking for a bird - this crow has seen a jar lid and then had the thought that it would be fun to slide down a snow covered roof with it - the number of creative concepts and connections required to arrive at the conclusion that the lid could be used in this way and for no other reason than it is fun (not for food or anything) is actually quite breathtaking.

Just goes to prove that any bird brain can snowboard.
Find me one smart enough to be able to ski then I’ll be impressed!
Puts Asbo and Nivag in their places.
As a snowboard instructor and Biologist, crows taught me all I know in life, mating, eating, and surprisingly how to ride a motorcycle.
They also taught me to cook and eat" Moules marinere" and how to bury my relatives without trace.

I now realise that there is a large, complex and exciting crow world that I am missing out on.
I obviously need a crow in my life.
I should have called this post ‘crowboarding’ . . .
