A few years ago in Oz, i used the ‘dirty harry’ magnum .44 and the kick wasnt that bad? The Australians are cool, there was a shooting gallery at the end of the shopping centre. Great place to let off 50 shots whilst the ex was boring me to death trying on clothes! lol
Have to say, that although I haven’t done anything that stupid, my glasses were smashed when I was hunting a couple of years back.
Unfortunately I got utterly amateur instructions from a moron whom I thought knew what he was doing as he had been hunting for many years. He never told me NOT to put my eye right up to the sight when shooting. He also completely failed to point out the “butt into shoulder socket” rule which really would have helped under the circumstances. So essentially I’m leaning the sodding rifle INTO my eye socket.
No prizes for guessing what happened. But the photos of me holding a rifle with blood all over my face did look pretty hardcore. 
Got my stag though, call me Bambi Killer!
