I dont know if they can be made fast? Mr.Tattoo would know. They’re very heavy, I guess thats why they last? But to make one fast is prolly not worth it. Better to buy summit thats newer, it’ll be faster, lighter, but the stickers will be trickier to get off? Right M-D?
my old xr600 went well, 660 bore kit and hot cam livens em up loads:w00t: they a good bike but dear for what they are, if a cheapy comes up snap it up as they ok, just basic suspension and brakes and the frames rot easy and they look dated… only real issues they had were weak tensioners and the top ends can wear badly. otherwise sound old bikes and still pretty grunty
