Wow! Scary! I’ve got an R6 and it doesn’t come with a damper, but so far I’ve not held onto the bars for grim death and set the suspension up properly, and I’ve only had slight head shakes.
Wow… so would a steering damper make the problem completely go away? or just more manageable?
I reckon he could have done with a damper.
that looks more like 145KPH rather than MPH. but still a proper pant filler!
Classic slapper
One of my worst fears when riding on a motorway…
R6, renowned for head shakes. I had one. Fel like my arms and hands had been run over.
He also has same gloves as me. #respect
had one at 120, tbh wasn’t the bikes fault but the road surface. Didn’t loose the bike thought

expected something else :Whistling:
Advice I have heard is that the best solution is to pin the gas to get the front light or to let go! either of those would take some big cajunas! I’ve never had the pleasure, so cant speak from experience, thankfully.

Lock to Lock slappers are evil, and they scare the **** of ya!
Cheers Niteowl
the Misti Hurst article at the bottom explains things nicely.
I had that on the gsr 2 months after passing my test. Probs 80+mph. Full throttle and blipped the clutch and it stopped. Pulled over to have a little cry… And a wee…
Good luck trying to do anything. Even holding on is an autonomous action. It happens SO quick you dont have a chance to control it or even let go
i’ve saved a huge one, no idea how tho, just thank full i didnt get launched!
Jesus, he must have **** himself.
Brilliant! I’ll have a read later

Had one at triple figures twice - never owning a bike again that doesn’t have a damper fitted - you do not have time to think, I just rolled off and hung on for dear life! With the damper the oil tightens and reduces this affect, common with a slightly dodgy bring down from a wheelie but the damper makes it ok!
All on track officer!
