The londonbikers.com website is a work in progress, the site was developed from the ground up in-house, and this means that it’s possible you may experience problems that we’ve yet to iron-out. If you do find any problems, please post up the details here so we can tackle them.

Development wise, we’ll be launching new functionality as things progress, we’re looking at implementing the following from now onwards. As well as a whole load of smaller improvements across the site and forums. For forums, I want to implement better image upload abilities, better forum-code, with help to explain it and the like.

version 1.05

  • Significant design revision; editorial pages made wider to accomodate better imagery and readability. Also provides more promotional space.

version 1.04

  • Moved all Ads to the top of the pages.
  • Added promoted-content strip to the homepage.
  • Introduced Ads by Google, to the forums.
  • Made the forum poster links simpler links to the users profile, instead of a menu which wasn’t showing for some users.
  • Gave supplier/retailers their own detail page in the Member Deals section.

  • Added a member deals page to the site.
  • Added google adword advertisments to help create revenue, to feed site overheads.
  • Improved gallery image pages to make them more user-friendly.
  • Improved gallery homepage to show an extended list of recent galleries.
  • Made the ‘Control Panel’ link in the forums a simple link, instead of a funky menu, as it wasn’t showing for some users.

version 1.02

  • Removed the ‘insert image’ button from the post tool, as it confused things when trying to attach images.
  • Increased session timeout period to one hour from twenty minutes.
  • Four galleries now shown on homepage instead of three.
  • Added inline images for attached images (1024x768 pixels or smaller)
  • Fixed top-bar broken links
  • Simplified Gallery Image URL’s.
