I am going to the 3 days MotoGP next friday and just wondering any LBers are going too? This is my 1st MotoGP experience and unfortunately I am going alone because none of my friends or family are bikers or remotely into bikes. Also,I don’t know a lot of people from LB, so if any of you are going I would love to tag along with you guys if you don’t mind. I’ll be camping at the lively camp from friday, so it will be great I can hang out with any of you over the GP weekend.
I checked the weather forecast and the GP weekend should be dry, so I will be biking up there, As I said before I never been to Silverstone, so all I know is M1 then get off junction 15A on to A43 and the track should be somewhere along the A43. So, I guess we can meet somewhere in north London or Ace for breakfast or lunch before handing up there.
So, anyone wanna take a gentle ride there and camp together and hang out over the GP weekend, please PM me
sunday is a bit more because it’s the Race day and will probably be a bit more on the gate. they always advise that you buy your tickets in advance to save
I wonder if any of you can give me a lift to Silverstone this week end for the MOTOGP.
I have a GA ticket for the Sunday race and I would be grateful if any of you could pick me up from Birmingham International Airport anytime Sunday morning.
I do not need a lift back to B’ham as I will stay down in Silverstone the next day.
Happy to pay for petrol costs…
Please reply to this post to confirm that this is OK with you.
Many thanks…for the lift in advance.
I’m about to buy a general admission weekend ticket and gonna drive each day, maybe not friday, to Silverstone and back to London. Anyone wanna join me?
is there no bike groups or clubs on here that get discount tickets, the group i went up with last year had cheap tickets while i got stuck paying full price on the gate,i will be riding up on race day like to get up there early.
Oh to hell with it: if everyone else is posting on a 2010 thread, I may as well too.
I’m always in two minds about watching the racing live. The atmosphere is always amazing and it’s a brilliant day out, but… In terms of actually being able to see what’s going on, it doesn’t come lose to the TV coverage. Ironically enough, we ended up watching the screens to get any sense of what was going on when we were there last year.
My usual race watching buddy has bailed on me this year with some lame excuse the he’ll be racing in the IOM instead, the selfish sod, so I probably won’t have decided whether to go or not this year until Sunday morning itself.
it’s still in context so not really an issue, just look when the BM Meet thread started, people still post on that on a weekly basis, if this thread is re posted on a this time of year it’s no real difference
