Always run it in my race bikes as they are tuned and obviously running higher revs almost all the time. Have suffered blow ups on older tuned engines dipue to not using it, but on a road bike I doubt it’s worth it.
Also I’d like to point out that Octane and RON are similar but different.
Nor is it a measure of the energy contained within the fuel, it is the measure of resistance to auto ignition (diesel effect).
On a side not, that research is being conducted on having a petrol based diesel engine, the one big problem is heat. Although far more efficient petrol diesel engines have a habit of melting. Oh diesel is the effect not the fuel.
