Hey guys, this story happened to my friend recently and seeing that it was a big slip up I thought I’d mention it here. The story goes:
My friend passed his restricted license and bought the new R6 and bought insurance from MCE at some silly premium as I remember as he was under 21. Following on from buying his insurance, he had a routine stop and check by the police and they asked for his documents which he didn’t have on him. He called up the insurance company and aparantly his birthdate was changed by 1 year and he wasn’t insured during the months he was led to believe. They said they would continue to insure him if he paid another £1500. Not sure what has happened recently but I believe he didn’t get done for it because he was riding with the belief that he was covered, but it is getting looked into.
