well my R6 is now due its 6000 mile service. rang up a couple of dealers local to me and have been quoted an average of £210 for an oil and filter change and a chassis and braking system check up. oh, and a hire bike.
is this really all a 6000 mile service is? I would of assumed it would be a bit more in depth, maybe all fluids etc?

i do a oil change pluss filter for 45 pound and that includes checking over the bike , parts would be around 50 pound for good oil and a filter,
6000 miles i know of would be valve and cam check,
is this a new bike and a 1st service
dont they also rebalance injectors and check valve clearances at first major service?
at dealer prices you dont want them to do too much!!
changing the plugs is a least an hours work at what 50 to 70 and hour?
throttle body balance is worth it at 6000 miles but valves plugs is more like 16000
if the bikes more than two years old brake fluid change is good as is coolant and fork oil… after 2 years my fork oil looked like grey slime and that was motul factory line fluid no standard yam stuff.
modern motors dont need as much love… 
What are the service intervals on a R6? My service manual doesn’t have them down.
