It all depends on what you want from them. Deterrent, just buy dummy ones for cheap and wire up a decent LED flood with PIR so if anyone does walk into range, the light comes on and it looks like they’re on cam.
If you want to actually capture footage that is useable, not that the police will do much with it, then you don’t necessarily need to spend loads. Forget wireless, you want IP, you want 1080p, you want a LED flood anyway, you want IP66 or above and the read this article on lenses…

You can get a good deal of the function of a CCTV system just by screwing some cameras to the wall and making them look wired in. The footage is so much more useless than most people (thieves included) believe.
