Second bike - decisions decisions!

Hi all, technically this would be a third bike as I bought a royal enfield 500 when I passed (only in July), then a VFR800 (vtec) which I kept for 2 months but was too tall and heavy for around town. Still have the enfield but it’s not reliable and doing my head in a bit, plus I miss the extra power I had with the bigger bike. Felt comfortable with the VFR’s grunt just i’m a short arse.

So have looked at a few options, and am going to reduce the list and test ride a few next week if I can find some. Spend 85% of the time in central London, the rest on motorways/country roads. The girlfriend will be a bit unhappy if I get something that can’t take a pillion/has horrific pillion seat. I ride all the time weather wise so a fairing would be a bonus, and i’d like something I can race about on a bit (at a track of course)! Budget top is about 4750 but as a limit not a target.

Any advice on the below would be massively appreciated, i’ve been riding for few months (4500 miles), but am still a relatively inexperienced rider. Want to do some track days in the spring and doing bikesafe and a few other bits over the winter too.

If anyone has experience of these bikes, or an opinion on what might work well, any help appreciated! Rode an XJ6 for my DAS and think I need slightly more thrills than that can provide - maybe the hornet is too similar… what do you think?
Thanks,
Tedward.

If you want to be carrying a pillion on the motorway, you don’t want a hypermotard.

I do like silly ideas

Haha me too! If it was insurable i’d have an F4 750, and explain the single seat later. Also I guess anything like the Daytona 675 and other sports-middleweights. I tried a street triple and didn’t like it otherwise that’d be an option too.

Triumph daytona 675!

My opinions in Red!

Forget Duc’s if you riding in town , they wank and hate it !

Fixed it!

Lol , you and Mark can start a club !! FECK ORF !!!

The best thing is you were already taking the abuse about your Duc & then you went and brought a 2nd one!!!

Someone has to ! Found a bit of space at home for a 3rd ! :Whistling:

Wait… Don’t tell me…

Was thinking something more Austrian and smaller CC that likes mud !!

Sorry about the thread hi-jack ! lol

Or is this the space you found…

Yo should look at these… WR450
