hey all, just got a knock on the door & my neighbour just spotted a guy near my bike. right, my bike is parked off rd behind a 9ft steel gate, one way in & no van can get near it. it,s chained to the gate with an Almax & the gate is padlocked with another chain round it.
went down to have a look & found some bolt cutters hidden behind the gate…mmmmm
Oxford do the stormex, where you can feed your chain through it… guess It’ll just make it harder to steal (another obstacle).
I park mine on the drive, behind two cars, so they’d have to steal the car keys first. Unless they want to lift it over the cars!!!
With regards to beating them to a pulp… DO IT, and then pour some beer & **** on them - then call the police yourself - explaing that some drunken fool, who’s obviously been in a fight was then trying to steal your bike before he collapsed!!!
a for a cover, it is covered with a good one. so im guessing the guys local. what i dont get is why try to nick it, he cant take it anywhere unless he take the gate with it & carries it 200 metres pass all my neighbours.
think i’ll keep the bat close at hand tonight…the only thing is this area is known for shootings…mmmmmm shepherds bush/east acton.
only thing to say is you should not have a weapon of any sorts, be it a baseball bat or a shotgun for the use of hurting people…so if you just happen to have a baseball bat lying around after a nice game of rounders oops baseball, then its not being held for nefarious activities…it was just thre when I came upon the thief…and in order to protect myself I just picked up the bat…etc etc…
but why on earth do people want to steal other peoples property, I have never been able to understand this at all…
If you catch him, just explain to the coppers that you found the bolt cutters by the gate, and had just been watching Hostel 2 (anyone who has seen the film will know what I’m on about;))
i know who it feels mate. i had my ktm 2 weeks when 6 scum bag kids was tryin to drag my bike out of my front garden. but they got disturbed & ran off  i waited up for 6 nights un-till i had an alarm fitted.
they never come back witch is lucky for them cos i would never show any mercy on people like that. no matter what the consequences would be.
they did’nt get me bike thank god but the cost of the damage they did is just as bad. just keep an eye out for a while but the more locks & other bits you put on it the better
had two quads, one a kawasaki 750 brand new and only 3 days old, and a ram 100 for the kids…stolen by gypsies, we even suspect who they are but the police did nothing…
