Hello All, just have a quick query regarding the above. I’m not entirely sure if oil is coming out - its half full, but I wouldn’t have said my chain was at its most lubricated, infact it looks dry. I imagine there may be a blockage at the nozzle end, and just wondered the best implement to free it, I dont want to end up pushing whatever it is further up the nozzle. I know this is a really basic question, but totally new to biking and everything that goes along with it. Thanks in advance.
You can usually use a pin or needle to free up the nozzle. When the bike is running you should notice oil coming out in drips. I used to use a scotoiler myself and had one drip per thirty seconds at tickover. When the bike is running harder it comes out a little quicker. For track use turn it right off.
Thanks for that, I’ll give it a bash tomorrow. Although its meant to be minus 5 up here - may wait until lunch time when its slightly warmer.
Get Buell and you won’t have to worry about it.
